OSCE Stations
ChatGPT was prompted to simulate a patient agent (PatientGPT), a doctor agent (DoctorGPT) and an examiner agent (ExaminerGPT) for four paediatric OSCE stations. These are:
- Exploring a mother’s concerns about the MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) vaccine’s potential link to autism, and discussing its risks and benefits.
- Explaining test results, and meningitis diagnosis and treatment to a baby’s father.
- Taking paediatric history and explaining management for an innocent heart murmur to a child’s father.
- Taking an adolescent history from a teenage girl using the HEADSS (Home & Environment, Education & Employment, Activities, Drugs, Sexuality, Suicide/Depression) approach and explaining self-harm management
The navigation menu provides the OSCE vignette-based prompts for the agents, the simulated conversations, free-text feedback from the human evaluators, and the marking done by ExaminerGPT for each station.
